Objective Curriculum ideological and political education is an important bridge to train medical students to become qualified medical students.Since the curriculum ideological and political reform,it has made important achievements,but it also faces many problems.The purpose of this study is to explore new methods and approaches for ideological and political education in professional courses.Methods An online questionnaire survey was conducted on 97 medical students of Anhui Medical University from April to May 2022 to understand the current situation of ideological and political education in the curriculum,which included six parts:familiarity,effectiveness evaluation,proportion of ideological and political education content,attention needs,existing problems,methods,and suggestions.Results 64.94%(63 students)were found to had little understanding or no understanding of ideological and political education in the curriculum.61.86%(60 students)believed that the most prominent problem faced by ideological and political education in the curriculum was the stiffness of its integration into courses,the use of single teaching methods,dullness,and detachment from reality.62.89%(61 students)affirmed the role of ideological and political education in the curriculum,stating that it could provide positive ideological guidance.70%(68 students)believed that the existing professional courses basically incorporated ideological and political elements.Regarding the ideal proportion of ideological and political education content,49.48%(48 students)believed that the proportion of ideological and political education was best kept below 20%.Among all attention needs,the most concern was the integration of professional ethics and professional knowledge,which accounted for 86.6%.Regarding the approach of integrating ideological and political education into the curriculum,49.48%(48 students)suggested using micro-videos combined with clinical cases for analysis and exploration.Conclusion Based on the current situation and investigation results of the current curriculum ideological and political education,this study expolred optimized mode of curriculum ideological and political education method,in order to improve the quality of medical curriculum ideological and political education and promote the specific implementation and development of the concept of building morality and cultivating people in medical professional courses,and to cultivate all-round development medical students who meet the needs of society in the new era.
