Application of Live Teaching Based on Eight-Step Guided Learning Method in Breast Surgery Teaching
Objective To explore and analyze the application of online live teaching method based on eight-step instruction in breast surgery teaching.Methods A total of 86 medical students majoring in breast surgery from the Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College from March 2018 to June 2020 in 2018 and 2019 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 43 students in each group.The control group was given traditional multimedia live online teaching,while the observation group was given live online teaching based on eight-step guided learning.The results of theory examination,practical skill examination,learning ability evaluation and teaching method evaluation of the two groups of medical students were compared.Results In the observation group,the scores of theory test,case analysis,practical skills,skill operation,health education,communication and human literacy were(85.32±6.01)points and(80.16±6.87)points,respectively.(78.22±14.24)points,(77.98±13.54)points,(82.54±8.99)points,(80.05±6.74)points,The scores of self-management ability,self-learning ability,learning enthusiasm,student-student interaction and teacher-student interaction of medical students were(4.02±0.91)points,(4.03±0.82)points,(3.85±0.73)points,(4.11±0.85)points and(4.05±0.88)points,respectively.For medical students,83.72%,86.05%,81.40%and 95 percent of them believed that the skills were well coordinated,that feedback and guidance were correct,that learning enthusiasm and initiative could be improved,that theoretical knowledge could be consolidated,that practical ability could be enhanced,that communication ability with patients could be improved,and that their ability and confidence in facing patients could be improved,respectively.35%,88.37%,93.02%,74.42%,The scores of theory examination,practical skill examination,learning ability score and teaching method evaluation of medical students in observation group were higher than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The construction of the online live teaching method based on the eight-step guide method and its application in the teaching of breast surgery can obviously improve the examination scores of medical students,and the medical students'learning ability performance is also strong,and the evaluation of the teaching method is also high.
