Application of Case-Based Teaching Method in Clinical Teaching of Infection Students
Objective To observe and discuss the application effect of case teaching method in clinical teaching process of infection specialty master students.Methods From January 2022 to December 2022,a total of 26 postgraduate students from the department of infection in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected as the research objects.Among them,13 postgraduate students from January 2022 to may 2022 in the department of infection,the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected as the control group and received traditional teaching,while 13 postgraduate students from June 2022 to December 2022 in the department of infection,the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected as the research group and received case-based teaching.The two groups were compared in terms of assessment results,post competency scores,critical thinking ability rating and teaching satisfaction.Results The theoretical score was(67.62±1.08)points and practical assessment score was(28.01±0.36)points of the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.001).The scores of public health service ability was(27.64±1.76)points,basic diagnosis and treatment ability was(46.75±2.24)points,continuous learning ability was(8.76±0.55)points,humanistic care ability was(9.01±0.42)points and total score was(91.49±5.05)points in the research group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.001).The analysis score[(4.04±1.23)points],evaluation score[(4.94±0.63)points],reasoning score[(8.01±1.54)points],summary score[(8.08±0.35)points],deduction score[(8.55±0.35)points]and total score[(33.59±0.15)points]of the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The degree of satisfaction of professional master students in the research group was 92.31%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The introduction of case-based teaching method in the clinical teaching process of infection department can significantly improve the post competency and teaching quality of professional master students,and it is favored by professional master students.
