Application Value of Standardized Patients in Clinical Teaching of Acute and Severe Diseases in Hepatobiliary Surgery
Objective To explore the application value of standardized patients in clinical teaching of acute and severe diseases in hepatobiliary surgery. Methods A total of 40 standardized training trainees rotated in hepatobiliary surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from April to May 2022 were selected as the study objects. They were randomly divided into study group and control group, with 20 trainees in each group. The study group was taught with standardized patients, while the control group was taught with traditional teaching methods. The medical history collection and physical examination levels of the two groups of students were compared at the time of graduation, and the doctor-patient communication ability and humanistic care of the students were rated by standardized patients. Results The medical history score of the study group was higher than that of the control group[(88.70±0.61)points vs.(82.00±0.41)points],and the physical examination score was higher than that of the control group[(89.40±0.61)points vs.(82.55±0.39)points],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of the study group in doctor-patient communication and humanistic care were higher than those of the control group[(13.15±0.32)points vs.(9.15±0.29)points],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of the questionnaire survey showed that 100%(20/20)of the participants believed that standardized patient application could improve learning interest,95%(19/20)of the participants believed that it could improve clinical thinking ability, and 90%(18/20)of the participants believed that it could improve doctor-patient communication skills. Conclusion The application of standardized patients in the acute and critical clinical teaching of hepatobiliary surgery can improve the students'abilities of history collection, physical examination,doctor-patient communication, especially enhance the awareness of humanistic care, and improve the students'comprehensive quality.
