The Role of Direct Bed Management in Orthopedics Practice Teaching
Objective To explore the effect of direct bed management under the assistance of the intern instructor on improving practicing quality.Methods A total of 30 clinical medicine interns who came to orthopedics department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University for internship from September to December 2020 were selected as research objects.They were randomly divided into control group and tube bed group,with 15 students in each group.The control group was given routine teaching,while the tube bed group was directly administered by interns except routine teaching.After the 4-week practice teaching,the results of the final examination and the satisfaction of the practice teaching of the two groups were analyzed.Results The scores of departmental rotation examination in the bed management group were generally better than those of the control group,especially the scores of the skill examination were significantly higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate of the control group was 80.0%,however,the overall satisfaction rate of the bed management group was as high as 93.3%.The overall satisfaction rate of the bed management group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The overall evaluation of the two groups in the latter department showed that the rate of excellent and good in the control group was 73.3%,and the rate was as high as 93.3%in the bed management group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Direct bed management can significantly improve practicing quality and improve the satisfaction of practice teaching.
