Objective To study the application effect of trinity teaching method of problem-based learning(PBL)+case-based learning(CBL)+lecture-based learning(LBL)in curriculum ideological and political education.Methods A total of 2 classes were randomly selected from all classes participating in the course of Traditional Chinese Medicine Gynecology at Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2021 to December 2023 for inclusion in the study.Among them,a total of 55 students from one class received the"LBL+PBL+CBL"trinity teaching method and were included in the study group,while 79 students from the other class received traditional teaching method and were included in the control group.The teaching effects,teacher evaluations of students,and student satisfaction with the teaching mode were compared between the two groups.Results The theoretical knowledge and ideological and political literacy scores of the students of research group were(89.45±3.28)points and(90.65±3.14)points,which were higher than(85.79±4.16)points and(86.34±3.29)points of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.001).The teacher ratings of students in the research group in 5 dimensions of learning motivation,self-learning ability,independent thinking ability,flexible application ability,and clinical thinking ability were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The overall satisfaction of students in the research group with the teaching they received was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion During the ideological and political education of Traditional Chinese Medicine Gynecology,"LBL+PBL+CBL"trinity modes can effectively improve the student's theoretical knowledge,ideological and political quality,learning initiatives,autonomous learning,independent thinking,flexible use and clinical thinking ability,learning satisfaction,comprehensive quality and all-round development.
