Application of Tabular Bed Management Combined With PBL Teaching in Standardized Training of Gastrointestinal Surgery Residents
Objective To explore the value of tabular bed management combined with problem-based learning(PBL)teaching in standardized training of gastrointestinal surgery residents. Methods A total of 48 residents who received standardized training in gastrointestinal surgery department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups. The control group managed beds with conventional PBL teaching method, while the combined group managed beds with tabular form and PBL teaching method. The results of the examination were compared between the two groups.Meanwhile, the satisfaction of residents to standardized training of gastrointestinal surgery and the nurses evaluation on residents between two groups were compared. Results The theoretical and operational assessment scores of the combined group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of the residents in combined group in terms of teaching satisfaction, understanding of knowledge points, and learning enthusiasm were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of nurses evaluation on the residents in the combined group in terms of knowledge professionalism evaluation, treatment timeliness evaluation, were better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Tabular bed management combined with PBL teaching in the standardized training of gastrointestinal surgery residents can improve the theoretical and operational level of students, and can be recognized by the students and nurses.
