Application of CBL Combined With PBL Teaching Mode in Pediatric Clinical Probation
Objective To analyze the application effect of case-based learning(CBL)combined with problem-based learning(PBL)in pediatric clinical internships.Method A total of 62 undergraduate clinical medicine students from Guangzhou Medical University from September 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects,30 undergraduate clinical medicine students from the 2016 cohort were selected as the control group, using the traditional clinical internship mode.A total of 32 undergraduate clinical medicine students from the 2017 cohort were selected as the observation group, and the CBL combined with PBL teaching method was used to compare the internship scores, theoretical exam scores, success rate of postgraduate entrance examination(pediatric major),and feedback survey questionnaire of the two groups.Result The average score of the observation group was(91.06±3.83)points,which was higher than(88.37±3.19)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the scores of two theoretical exams(P>0.05).A total of 3 students in the observation group were admitted as graduate students majoring in pediatrics, and 1 student chose to study pediatrics as a resident trainee. The satisfaction of the observation group students with the internship mode,PBL teaching method case setting, group discussion atmosphere, and feedback on the time occupied by homework were mainly positive evaluations. Conclusion The CBL combined with PBL teaching mode is student-centered,which has achieved certain results in increasing students'initiative and innovation in learning, cultivating teamwork and communication skills, and improving teaching effectiveness.
