Value Analysis of Plan-Do-Study-Act in Clinical Teaching of Internal Medicine
Objective To analyze the value of plan-do-study-act(PDSA)in clinical teaching of internal medicine. Methods A total of 80 nurses who were interns in internal medicine department of a first-class hospital between July 2021 and July 2022 were selected as research subjects, the nursing students from July 2021 to January 2022 were taken as control group(n=40),and routine teaching was carried out.The nursing students from February to July 2022 were taken as observation group(n=40),and PDSA circular teaching was carried out. Both groups were taught for 1 month. To analyze the influence of two teaching methods on nursing students'examination results, critical thinking ability and self-directed learning ability. Results After training, the scores of theoretical examination and operation in the observation group[(92.74±4.96)points and(94.52±4.75)points]were higher than those in the control group[(85.62±4.82)points and(79.22±4.73)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).After training, the scores of truth-seeking,open-minding,analytical ability, systematic ability, confidence in critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and cognitive maturity of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.001).After training, the scores of learning consciousness, learning strategy, learning behavior, learning evaluation and interpersonal skills of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PDSA cycle in internal medicine teaching can effectively improve the examination results of nursing students, improve their ability of critical thinking and self-directed learning.
