Application of PBL Teaching Method Combined With Mind Mapping Teaching Mode in Pain Training of Surgical Nurses
Objective To explore the effect of PBL teaching method combined with mind map teaching mode on pain training of surgical nurses.Methods From June 2021 to March 2022,a total of 87 surgical nurses in Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were trained on pain management knowledge by PBL teaching method combined with mind mapping teaching mode.The nurses were assessed on pain knowledge and attitude before and after the training by NKAS on pain knowledge and attitude of nurses.After the training,the theoretical assessment of pain knowledge and the survey of teaching satisfaction were carried out.Results The NKAS scores of 87 surgical nurses before training were(15.07±3.45)points,and the accuracy was 47.09%;after training,the score was(21.95±5.96)points,and the accuracy was 68.61%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The score of NKAS general knowledge dimension after training(5.90±1.81)was higher than that before training(4.72±1.72),and the score of NKAS knowledge dimension after training(1.82±0.39)was higher than that before training(1.68±0.52).The dimension score of drug analgesia knowledge after training(11.95±3.33)was higher than that before training(7.72±2.14),and the dimension score of scenario case analysis test after training[2.00(1.00,4.00)]was higher than that before training[0.00(0.00,1.00)],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PBL teaching method combined with mind mapping teaching mode can effectively improve the pain knowledge level and comprehensive application ability of surgical nurses,and give full play to the teaching advantages of both,which is worth using in clinical continuing education.
