Application of a Student-Centered Hybrid Teaching in Diagnostics Courses
As a bridge course for clinical medicine students to transition from basic medicine to clinical medicine, diagnostics focuses on training the basic methods and skills of correct diagnosis of diseases. The teaching quality of diagnostics is closely related to the post competency after the medical birthday. In order to solve the problems existing in traditional teaching methods, such as single means, disconnection between theory and practice, and poor integration of ideological and political elements in the curriculum, this study takes the"student-centered"education concept as the guidance, and focuses on the five-year clinical medical students in Wannan Medical College as the research object.Emphasizes on pre-class preparation, analysis of learning situation,BOPPPS(bridge-in,objective,pre-assessment,participatory learning,post-assessment,summary)and the construction of teaching models such as small private online course(SPOC),the organic integration of participatory learning in class, curriculum thinking and politics, and after class standardized patients(SP)participated in the objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)and other aspects,to create a"trinity"of diagnostics before, during and after class, online and offline hybrid teaching platform and"full information"assessment and evaluation system. The results show that students'learning interest, independent learning ability, clinical diagnosis thinking and humanistic quality have been improved to some extent, and satisfactory teaching results have been achieved.
