Objective To investigate the effect of the problem based learning(PBL)model of pharmacy based on outcome based education(OBE)and Value Tree theory plan-do-check-act(PDCA)on both teaching and learning.Methods A total of 68 interns of pharmacy in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College from January to December 2021 and from January to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 34 interns in each group.The control group used traditional teaching methods,and the experimental group adopted the pharmacy teaching mode based on PDCA combined with PBL based on OBE and value tree theory,and the effect of the two groups of teaching was compared.Results The scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group,the scores of communication ability,professional skill ability and total score of the experimental group were(78.63±3.14)points,(79.32±2.88)points and(236.24±8.81)points,which were higher than those of the control group[(77.29±3.23)points,(76.37±3.32)points and(231.97±9.80)points].The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the score of basic knowledge ability between the two groups(P>0.05).The satisfaction score of the experimental group was(89.16±3.02)points,which was higher than(86.18±3.04)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The score of teaching ability in experimental group was(88.45±2.77)points,higher than(85.63±3.07)points in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The PDCA combined with PBL pedagogy based on OBE and Value Tree Theory of lead teaching is highly empowering for both students and teachers.
