The Application of Flipped Classroom and Simulation-Based Medical Education Model in Laboratory Safety Training
Objective To explore the application effect of flipped classroom and scenario simulation teaching mode in laboratory safety training. Methods A total of 91 on-duty personnel from the medical laboratory center, the First Hospital of Lanzhou University from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as training personnel, including 60 department staff and 31 interns, and divided into experimental group(46 people)and control group(45 people). The flipped classroom combined scenario simulation was used to conduct laboratory safety training for the training staff of the experimental group.Among them, the main use of flipped classroom mode for safety theory training, the application of situational simulation for safety practice training. The training personnel of the control group were trained in theory and operation by the teacher's teaching method. After the training, the theoretical and operational assessment was carried out.The satisfaction survey of all training personnel was conducted. The theoretical, practical and satisfaction scores of the two groups were compared. Results The theoretical scores of the experimental group were(95.26±3.14)points,the practical scores were(89.89±6.06)points and the satisfaction scores were(46.43±3.32)points,which were higher than those of the control group[(82.33±5.11)points,(80.56±7.89)points and(38.71±5.53)points],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Flipped classroom and scenario simulation teaching mode are suitable for laboratory safety training, and have achieved good training results.
