Application Effect of Autonomous Teaching Mode in Wound Stomy Specialty Training
Objective To explore the application effect of the self-directed teaching model in a wound ostomy training group. Methods A total of 29 trainees who participated in a wound ostomy training hold by the department of colorectal&anal surgery,Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital from October 2019 to October 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Based on the time period,15 trainees were assigned to the control group, while 14 trainees were assigned to the observation group. The control group received traditional teaching methods from October 2019 to October 2020,while the observation group received the self-directed teaching model from October 2021 to October 2022.The theoretical assessment scores, clinical practice assessment scores, powerpoint presentation and teaching abilities,self-evaluation and peer evaluation of summary writing, and teaching satisfaction was evaluated by comparing the differences between the two groups. Results The observation group showed higher scores[(97.82±2.13)scores and(96.74±3.11)scores]in theoretical assessment and clinical practice assessment compared to the control group[(88.71±2.08)scores and(86.76±2.81)scores],with statistically significant differences between them(P<0.001).The observation group had significantly higher self-evaluation and peer evaluation scores in PowerPoint presentation and teaching abilities compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences between them(P<0.05).The trainees in the observation group demonstrated higher teaching satisfaction(100%)than those in the control group(76.92%),with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing the self-directed teaching model in a wound ostomy training group can enhance the professional level and practical abilities of trainees. The empirical results provide support for the effectiveness of the self-directed teaching model.
