Objective To explore the effect of clinical pathway teaching method for nursing interns based on post core competence. Methods A total of 60 nursing college students who interned at Panjin Liaoyou Gem Flower Hospital from August 2021 to January 2022 were selected as research subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 30 students in each group. The experimental group of intern nursing students were taught through a clinical pathway teaching model guided by core job competencies, while the control group was taught through traditional teaching methods. The teaching effects of intern nursing students of two groups before and after the internship were compared. Results Before the internship, there was no statistical significance in the scores of theoretical scores, nursing operation scores and post competency between the two groups(P>0.05).After the internship, the scores of both groups were higher than before(P<0.05).The theoretical and operational scores of the experimental group were(93.37±2.35)points and(87.97±3.12)points,respectively,which were higher than those of the control group[(89.60±2.94)points and(84.90±3.24)points],and the scores of post competency in all dimensions were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The new model of talent training based on post competency can effectively improve the practice of nursing students theory scores, skills operation scores and nursing post competency.
