Strategic Thinking on Improving the Quality of Ultrasound Teaching for Undergraduates Majoring in Emergency Medicine
Medical undergraduate students in emergency specialty have a short duration of ultrasound teaching and practical skills, resulting in a lack of understanding of the importance of ultrasound application in clinical practice with low learning requirements. However, after graduating from the undergraduate emergency medicine,it is imperative to become an emergency physician with more clinical skills. Therefore,it is particularly important for teachers and students to clarify learning objectives and adjust learning content,so that students can grasp ultrasound knowledge in a short period of time. This article analyzes the current situation of ultrasound teaching for undergraduate students majoring in emergency medicine, and proposes the necessity of ultrasound teaching reform. The ultrasound teaching curriculum reform model is designed, which aims to enable medical students to understand and master ultrasound professional knowledge, learn and master ultrasound skills, recognize the potential contribution of ultrasound in clinical work in the future, and help teachers set clear teaching goals for specific medical undergraduates;at the same time, there was a thorough exploration and reflection on the ultrasonic teaching process model, centered around resolving clinical practical dilemmas. This endeavor harmoniously merged conventional teaching approaches with innovative methodologies, integrating theoretical acumen with clinical proficiency.Diversified ultrasonic teaching strategies were employed, such as the adoption of structured language ultrasonic teaching and the implementation of a problem-oriented reform, further complemented by the establishment of an ultrasonic medical consortium platform featuring Internet-based online education. The ultimate objective was to achieve a systematic and standardized framework for ultrasonic education among emergency medicine undergraduates, thereby fostering well-rounded emergency medical professionals.
