The Effect of Case Study and Task-Driven Teaching in Neurosurgery Clinical Teaching
Objective To explore the implementation effect of case and task driven teaching method in clinical teaching of neurosurgery.Methods A total of 80 students in neurosurgery clinical practice from September 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the research objects,a total of 40 students who adopted traditional teaching methods in the 2021 academic year were included in the control group,and a total of 40 students who adopted case and task driven teaching methods in the 2022 academic year were included in the research group,and the teaching effect survey results,assessment results and teaching satisfaction evaluation were compared.Results Before teaching,there was no statistical significance in teaching effect between the two groups(P>0.05).After teaching,the study group's anatomy knowledge comprehension,clinical thinking ability,active learning enthusiasm,clinical problem solving ability,oral expression ability and clinical practice expectation score were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The scores of theoretical examination,clinical knowledge and case analysis in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The scores of basic knowledge understanding,key content mastery,feasible teaching mode,learning interest,classroom atmosphere,teacher teaching enthusiasm and teacher-student interaction of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The score of critical thinking ability in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion The case and task driven teaching method in clinical teaching of neurosurgery can stimulate students'interest in learning,increase teacher-student interaction,and improve students'theoretical knowledge and operational skills.The teaching evaluation effect is good,and it is recommended to promote the application.
