Application of Role-Playing Teaching Method Based on OBE in Case Work Course in Medical Colleges
Objective To explore the application value of role-playing teaching method based on outcome-based education(OBE)in the teaching practice of case work course in medical colleges. Methods A total of 66 social work majors who received case work course teaching from September 2021 to January 2024 at Qiqihar Medical University were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the different teaching methods they received at different grades. The experimental group consisted of 26 students from grade 2022,who were taught with the role-playing teaching method based on OBE.The control group consisted of 40 students from grade 2020,who were taught with traditional teaching method. The final assessment scores and the teaching quality evaluation were compared between the two groups. Results The final assessment score of the experimental group[(83.23±7.79)points]was higher than that of the control group[(74.18±12.00)points]and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the distribution of final assessment scores, good score rate in the experimental group[19 students(73.08%)]was higher than that of the control group[14 students(35.00%)].Medium score rate in the experimental group[3 students(11.54%)]was lower than that of the control group[14 students(35.00%)]and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Regarding the teaching quality evaluation, the learning behavior, learning effect and total evaluation scores of the experimental group[(60.04±8.92)points,(88.31±13.24)points,(168.66±21.89)points]were higher than those of the control group[(50.18±11.73)points,(76.79±14.34)points,(149.41±26.67)points].The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The role-playing teaching method based on OBE can effectively improve the teaching quality of case work course, and help improve students'theoretical learning level and comprehensive practical ability.
