Exploration on the National Standard of Teaching Quality of Clinical Engineering
Clinical engineering was approved by the Ministry of Education of China in March 2017.The clinical engineering major closely leverages a series of major measures implemented by the country to promote the development of the connotation of higher education,such as the new engineering and new medical disciplines,to cultivate applied talents with basic knowledge and abilities in clinical medicine and engineering,who can engage in clinical application,functional development,technical management,technical maintenance,and technical training of medical equipment in clinical engineering technology positions in hospitals.This article is mainly based on the extensive concepts,ideas,and implementation approaches accumulated in teaching practice at Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences.Starting from the perspectives of training objectives,training specifications,teaching staff,and teaching conditions,it explores the national standards for the teaching quality of clinical engineering major.Firstly,based on the professional positioning and social needs of clinical engineering,this article introduces the training objectives and specifications for undergraduate students,with a focus on discussing the professional quality requirements of graduates in this major.Then,it elaborates on the requirements for the teaching staff and teaching conditions,hoping to provide reference for the establishment of national standards for teaching quality in clinical engineering major.
