Application of PDCA Cycle In Continuing Education of Clinical Nutrition
Continuing education represents a critical pathway for enhancing the nutritional diagnostic and therapeutic competencies of clinical nutrition practitioners. This investigation examines the application of the plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle in the context of advanced clinical nutrition education.Adopting the PDCA methodology, which encompasses stages of planning, executing, checking, and acting, the study implemented standardized management and instructional planning for advanced trainees. The execution phase incorporated a diverse range of teaching methods, including didactic, interactive, and targeted instruction;while the checking phase involved regular assessments and end-of-rotation examinations to appraise learners'educational progress and clinical capabilities.During the action phase, training programs were adjusted based on feedback to ensure alignment with practical demands.Findings indicated that the PDCA cycle significantly enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of advancing clinical nutrition trainees,as well as their satisfaction and the quality of the training. The PDCA cycle shows great promise as a core management philosophy for advanced clinical nutrition training, integrating technological innovation with multi-modal teaching, offering a model worth emulating and disseminating.
