Application of Mixed Teaching in Undergraduate Teaching of Acute and Critical Nursing
Objective To explore the effect of applying mixed teaching in the teaching of Acute and Critical Nursing for undergraduates. Methods A total of 120 students from four classes of Grade 2020 in Nursing College of Jinzhou Medical University from September to November 2023 were selected, they were divided into the two groups which are experimental group(used blended teaching)and the control group(used conventional teaching)by lottery method, with 60 students in each group. The scores of skill operation, theoretical examination, comprehensive ability evaluation, critical thinking disposition in-ventory-Chinese version(CTDI-CV)and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of skill operation, theory examination and comprehensive ability evaluation in the experimental group[(95.43±3.36)points,(96.07±3.28)points,(95.34±3.82)points]were higher than those in the control group[(84.65±2.23)points,(85.23±2.21)points,(85.36±3.23)points],and the differences were significant(P<0.05).Before the implementation of the teaching method, there was no significant difference in CTDI-CV scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After the implementation of the teaching method, the CTDI-CV score of the experimental group was(347.68±34.59)points,higher than that of the control group(289.42±28.13)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of test group was higher than that of control group(98.33%vs.81.67%),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mixed teaching method can significantly improve the quality of teaching, enhance students'critical thinking ability and teaching satisfaction.
