Application of Formative Assessment Combined With PBL Teaching Method in Ophthalmic Nursing Probation
Objective To explore the application value of formative assessment combined with problem-based learning(PBL)in ophthalmic nursing probation.Methods A total of 160 undergraduate nursing students of Grade 2021 from September 2022 to January 2023 in Yongchuan Branch,School of Nursing,Chongqing Medical University were selected and they were divided into observation group(n=80)and control group(n=80)according to random number table method.The observation group was taught with formative assessment combined with PBL,while the control group was taught with traditional PBL.The teaching effect,teaching satisfaction and teaching achievement of the two groups were compared after the internship.Results The self-perception of teaching effect(learning initiative,learning efficiency,self-learning ability,communication and expression ability,cooperation ability,problem-solving ability,mastery of knowledge and skills)in the observation group was better than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The teaching total satisfaction of the observation group was 91.25%(73/80),which was significantly higher than 61.25%(49/80)in the control group of,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The scores of theoretical knowledge examination,operation and teaching rounds in the observation group[(86.72±8.23)points,(88.54±8.31)points,(86.08±7.48)points]were higher than those in the control group[(72.76±7.36)points,(72.57±4.19)points,(70.58±3.62)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of formative assessment combined with PBL teaching method in nursing probation teaching can promote teachers'teaching and students'learning.
