Objective To explore the application effect of tutor responsibility system oriented by professional competence in the training of orthopaedic interns. Methods A total of 60 undergraduate interns of"5+3"integration from September 2021 to June 2023 were selected as research objects, and the interns of 2021 school year were used as control group and the interns of 2022 school year were used as research group, with 30 students in each group. The control group was trained with standard teaching mode, while the study group was trained with tutor responsibility system oriented by professional ability, and the training time was one month. The theoretical and clinical examination results of the interns in the two groups were assessed, and the mini-clinical evaluation exercise(Mini-CEX)score,subject-objective-assessment-plan(SOAP)and set elicit give understand end framework(SEGUE)were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the scores of objective multiple choice questions and clinical skills between the two groups(P>0.05).The scores of case analysis,Mini-CEX,SOAP and SEGUE in the study group[(41.3±3.5)points,(47.9±7.0)points,(74.4±7.7)points,(20.5±3.2)points]were significantly higher than those in the control group[(36.8±6.1)points,(36.0±7.0)points,(62.0±7.1)points,(18.1±3.0)points](P<0.05).Conclusion The tutor responsibility system oriented by professional ability can significantly improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment level of orthopaedic interns, and help to cultivate more excellent medical talents.
