Application Status and Prospect of BOPPPS Model in the Field of Medical Education
The main purpose of medical education is to cultivate high-quality medical talents,promote the benign and sustainable development of the medical and health system,and meet the health service needs of the people.Traditional teaching methods can hardly satisfy the needs of medical talents training,and only by adopting more scientific teaching methods that can improve the teaching efficiency and level of medical education.As a more advanced teaching method,BOPPPS has been widely used in the teaching process of various disciplines in recent years.Different from traditional teaching methods,BOPPPS includes six sections:bridge-in,objective,pre-assessment,participatory learning,post-assessment and summary,which is more conducive to teachers'dismantling of the teaching process,clarifying the teaching objectives and focuses,and at the same time,it can effectively help students summarize their knowledge and deepen their understanding of what they have learned,and then improve their theoretical,practical,and problem-solving abilities.In this article,author will review the origin,theoretical basis,implementation steps,and current status of the application of BOPPPS in the field of medical education and propose an outlook,with a view to providing a reference for subsequent practical research.
