Exploration and Practice of Ideological and Political Teaching in Orthopedics Course
Since the 18th National Congress,the Communist Party of China has always insisted on placing the construction of ideological and political courses in an important position of educational work,and has put forward new standards and requirements for the reform and practice of medical education.Orthopedics,as a highly applied and compulsory course in clinical medical education,suffers from the teaching misconception of emphasizing professional skills while neglecting ideological and political education,which is a pain point in traditional medical education.Whether from the development needs of higher medical education in the new era,or from the consideration of the disciplinary characteristics and intrinsic needs of the orthopedic science specialty,there is an urgent need to fully excavate and refine the civic-political elements embedded in the orthopedic specialty.Taking lumbar intervertebral disc herniation as an example,this study explores and excavates the elements of ideology and politics that can be integrated into the teaching practice of orthopaedics,analyzes the path of implementation,truly realizes the teaching goal of teaching and educating people,and lays the foundation for the Party and the country to cultivate orthopedic medical talents with both integrity and competence.
