Exploration and Practice of Scientific Research Performance Assessment in Teaching Hospitals
Objective To create a strong research atmosphere in teaching hospitals,improve teachers'research enthusiasm and level,and lay a foundation for better cultivating medical students'research abilities.Methods Based on the scientific research performance assessment plan formulated by the hospital,teachers were subjected to scientific research performance assessment for two consecutive years in 2021 and 2022.The research performance evaluation scores for 2019 and 2020 were retrospectively analyzed using this scientific research performance assessment plan.The participation of teachers in scientific research work and the output of hospital scientific research before and after implementation were compared,and a questionnaire survey on medical students to understand the situation of teachers conducting scientific research knowledge teaching was conducted.Results After the implementation of scientific research performance assessment,the frequency and number of teachers who receive scientific research output had significantly increased,and the number of papers,projects,patents,etc.in hospitals had also significantly increased.According to a questionnaire survey,the proportion of students who believed that teachers often teach scientific research knowledge had increased from 8.57%to 18.84%.The proportion of students who believed that teachers did not teach scientific research knowledge had decreased from 34.86%to 26.81%.The proportion of students who believed that the acquisition of scientific research knowledge mainly come from clinical teaching had increased from 17.71%to 26.81%.Conclusion The scientific research performance assessment in this paper is applicable to the municipal-level tertiary general hospitals.The implementation of scientific research performance assessment can effectively improve the scientific research atmosphere of teaching hospitals,improve the enthusiasm of teachers and their own scientific research level,and create favorable conditions for the cultivation of scientific research ability of medical students.
