Reflections on the Application of Mentorship in Rehabilitation Medicine Residency Education
The standardized training of resident physicians in the department of rehabilitation(referred to as"residency training")plays an important role in cultivating specialized talents in rehabilitation medicine.The implementation of mentorship system in residency training is conducive to the career development and personal promotion of students,it can guide them to establish correct outlooks on life and values,expand their scientific research thinking and application abilities,and cultivate their clinical thinking and practical skills.In view of the problems existing in the implementation of the mentorship system,such as lack of interaction and communication between mentors and students,lack of strict selection standards and low enthusiasm of mentors,this paper puts forward solutions from the aspects of mentors selection mechanism and implementation countermeasures of tutor teaching.It includes the qualification and selection of mentors,the management and assessment of mentors,the establishment of mentors incentive policies,the improvement of teaching methods,the guidance of students'scientific research thinking,and the emphasis on mentors'humanistic quality and ideological and political education,etc.,and explore a mentorship management system for residency and training education based on students'aptitude.
