Application of Remote BOPPPS Teaching Mode in the Teaching of Thoracic Cancer
The standardized training system for resident physicians has been widely implemented in China and has effectively played a positive role in enhancing the medical skills of healthcare professionals. On this basis, more targeted training systems, such as the integrated training model for specialist physicians in medical oncology, are also constantly being explored.During previous standardized training processes, students exhibited issues such as a lack of systematic thinking about the knowledge system of medical oncology and difficulties in transforming their clinical thinking patterns.Based on these observations,a bridging course focused on thoracic oncology has been designed as a pilot program. This online course revolves around the fundamentals of oncology, pathological characteristics of thoracic tumors, imaging features of thoracic tumors, and common diagnostic and treatment approaches for thoracic tumors, aiming to help students to get fundamental concepts and standardize diagnostic and treatment processes in oncology.Additionally, the BOPPPS teaching model has been introduced to help integrated training students better adapt to the medical oncology teaching system during their spare time from internal medicine training, thereby improving the overall training effectiveness.Ultimately, this endeavor aims to cultivate high-quality medical talents in China and contribute to the advancement of medical science and education.
