Application of Miller Pyramid Teaching Method in Training of Anesthesia Crisis
Objective To explore the effect of Miller pyramid teaching method in training of anesthesia crisis. Methods From June 2020 to June 2021,a total of 60 postgraduates who majored in anesthesia from the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University were selected for the study, and were randomly divided into control group(n=30)and experimental group(n=30).Both groups of students received standardized training as resident physicians at the anesthesiology department residential training base of the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University. The control group adopted the conventional anesthesia crisis training program, and the experimental group applied the Miller Pyramid teaching method in the anesthesia crisis training. After the training, the anesthesia crisis management ability of the students in the two groups was assessed, and the students'satisfaction with the course was evaluated from the comprehensive teaching indicators such as teaching objectives, teaching processes, teaching methods and teaching effects. Results The scores of anesthesia crisis theory was(88.45±8.94)points,observation ability of anesthesia crisis was(87.32±7.48)points,situation simulation operation was(92.21±8.87)points,emergency cooperation ability was(90.11±8.97)points,team cooperation ability was(94.66±7.58)points in the experimental group, which were higher than those in the control group[(79.57±8.48)points,(81.27±6.99)points,(83.19±8.39)points,(82.04±7.76)points,(82.34±6.77)points],the difference was significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction degree of the experimental group(93.33%)was higher than that of the control group(73.33%),the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Miller pyramid teaching method can improve the clinical competence level of postgraduates majoring in anesthesia in training of anesthesia crisis, and improve their satisfaction with the course.
