Application of Standard Patient Combined With CBL Teaching Method in the Practice Teaching of Psychiatry
Objective To observe the value of standardized patient(SP)combined case-based learning(CBL)teaching method in the clinical teaching of psychiatry. Methods A total of 34 five-year clinical medical students who practiced in Shanghai Changzheng Hospital from February to July 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups with 17 students according to the random number method. The control group adopted the traditional theoretical teaching and practical teaching, and the experimental group applied the standardized patient combination and case-based teaching method, the different effects of the two teaching methods was compared. Results The experimental group's medical record writing score was(90.00±2.45)points,and the basic theoretical knowledge assessment score was(81.59±8.54)points,which were higher than the control group's scores of(86.59±5.39)points and(74.35±9.63)points,respectively.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The experimental group scored(4.06±0.66)points,(3.94±0.66)points,(4.24±0.44)points,and(4.00±0.50)points in terms of liking the course, classroom atmosphere, improvement in abilities, and mastery of knowledge, respectively. The control group scored(3.59±0.51)points,(3.47±0.51)points,(3.94±0.24)points,and(3.65±0.49)points in the same four aspects. The experimental group scored higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of standardized patient combined with CBL teaching method can help to improve the scores of large medical record writing and basic theoretical knowledge assessment, which is conducive to the improvement of clinical teaching quality.
