Medical-engineering integration is one of the important connotations of training high-quality new medical and engineering talents.Taking the Shanghai University of Medicine&Health Sciences as example,the Biomedical Materials course is a core part of medical engineering majors like biomedical engineering and clinical engineering technology,and even stomatology technology and pharmacy majors.This work aims to address critical issues commonly existing in curriculum teaching,such as low student participation,outdated teaching contents,insufficient ideological and political teaching,poor combination of medicine and engineering,and poor integration of theory and practice.Therefore,the innovative teaching concept of"one heart and four wings guided by ideology and politics"was proposed and reconstructed teaching contents were optimized,meanwhile the method of"blended teaching trilogy"was employed.In addition,elements and examples for curriculum ideology and politics were explored,and teaching efficiency by means of information tools was enhanced.At last,some achievements from teaching reform have been obtained for training talents,which were demonstrated as well.The curriculum reform experience can provide some reference for the professional construction of medical engineering colleges.
