Analyze on the Cognition and Demand of Scientific Research Design Course among Clinical Undergraduates
Objective To explore the teaching status of the"scientific research design"course in a university, and to understand the cognition and demand situation of medical undergraduate students for the course. Methods Cluster sampling method was used to select 351 clinical medical undergraduates of grade 2022 in a medical school as the research objects from June 20 to 22,2023 for questionnaire survey. The survey contents included the students'evaluation of the teaching effect, cognition and demand situation for the course. Results In the evaluation of the importance of the course,86.0%of the students thought that it was necessary to set up the course, and 88.6%thought that the course was practical.Overall,88.0%of the students rated the course as good or very good.In terms of the cognitive difficulty of the course,33.9%of the students thought that the course was difficult,47.0%of them thought that the difficulty of the course was general, and 19.1%thought that the course was relatively easy.In terms of the teaching methods requirements,42.5%of the students hoped that the course could be carried out by combining theory with video cases,29.9%of them hoped that theoretical knowledge could be taught, followed by case discussion(14.5%)and group discussion and report(12.5%).For the course content demands,60.4%of them hoped that the course was how to select and design scientific research topics. In the form of course assessment,67.8%of them chose traditional paper examination,14.5%students chose the group report and presentation, and 10.5%chose the scientific research project proposal. Conclusion Setting up the course of scientific research design in undergraduate stage is helpful to cultivate students'scientific research thinking and ability.
