Exploration on the Application of the Integration of Ideological and Political Elements in Biochemistry Teaching Under the Blended Teaching Mode
Objective To explore application effects of blended teaching mode which is integrated ideological and political elements in medical courses of Biochemistry.Methods From August 2021 to December 2022,188 students from Class 9-12 of the 2020 undergraduate clinical medicine major at Qiqihar Medical College were selected as the control group to receive Biochemistry teaching,using traditional teaching methods;193 students from Class 5-8 of the 2021 undergraduate clinical medicine major who received Biochemistry teaching were selected as the experimental group,and a blended learning model incorporating ideological and political elements and case studies was adopted.Evaluated the teaching effectiveness of the blended learning model that integrates ideological and political elements by comparing the final theoretical exam,regular grades(in class tests,classroom performance),and overall evaluation scores of two groups of students.According to the survey questionnaire of the experimental group students,analyzed their satisfaction with the new teaching mode.Results The overall evaluation score of the experimental group students was(85.03±10.80)points,which was higher than(80.75±10.39)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).In the overall evaluation score,the experimental group's final theoretical exam score was(51.84±11.03)points,regular in class test score was(23.80±2.83)points,and classroom performance score was(9.39±0.75)points,which were all higher than(49.48±7.33)points,(22.12±5.55)points,and(9.15±0.85)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The students'satisfaction was investigated in 8 aspects related to ideological and political accomplishment and scientific research quality,the questionnaires showed that more than 70%students of the experimental group were satisfied with the blended teaching mode which was integrated ideological and political cases.Conclusion The blended teaching mode integrating ideological and political cases can improve the teaching effect,cultivated students'political literacy and scientific research quality,achieved the teaching objective of moral education and people cultivation.
