Discussion on Teaching Effect of Light Wand Induction Tracheal Intubation Combining Simulation and Clinical Practice
Objective To explore the effectiveness of the combination of simulated and clinical teaching methods in the teaching of light wand-guided tracheal intubation for standardized training of anesthesia residents. Methods A total of 20 anesthesia residents from the training base of Nanjing Medical University Affiliated Cancer Hospital from September 2021 to January 2023 were randomly divided into simulation group(n=10)and non-simulation group(n=10).Compared the time and success rate of tracheal intubation between two groups of residents. Results The time of tracheal intubation in non-simulation group was(37.6±8.3)s,which in simulation group was(27.4±4.9)s,the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).The success rate of tracheal intubation in the simulation group was higher than that in the non-simulation group(90%vs.60%),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the clinical skills training of residents, the combination of simulation and clinical teaching methods to tracheal intubation with light wand can effectively reduce intubation time and improve intubation success rates, resulting in good teaching effectiveness.
