Practice and Application of Palliative Medicine Education in Clinical Teaching of Neuro-Oncology
This paper provides a comprehensive review of the current development status of palliative medicine and its education both domestically and internationally.It elucidates the significance of palliative medicine education and teaching,while addressing the challenges faced in neurosurgery.By focusing on neuro-oncology,a crucial subspecialty within neurosurgery,this paper explores an integrated approach to teaching palliative medicine alongside neuro-oncology through curriculum integration.The study investigates the teaching methods and modes of palliative medicine in the field of neuro-oncology by combining theoretical instruction with clinical practice.The findings reveal that 100%of students recognize the necessity for implementing palliative medicine in patients with neuro-tumors;96.5%acknowledge the importance of educating about neuro-tumor palliative care;86.2%agree with curriculum reform initiatives;72.4%believe they have acquired fundamental knowledge in palliative medicine;89.6%express interest in further studyting this subject matter;89.6%believe they have improved communication skills with patients and their families;finally;100%of students feel more confident managing end-stage neuro-tumors.
