Application of Blended Learning Based on OBE in Standardized Training of Anesthesiology Residents
Objective To explore the application effect of blended learning based on outcome-based education(OBE)concept in standardized training of anesthesiology residents.Methods A total of 50 resident physicians received standardized training in the department of anesthesiology at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from June 2020 to June 2023 were randomly divided into control group and research group,with 25 residents in each group.The control group adopted traditional teaching methods,the research group adopted blended learning based on the OBE concept,by using"Internet plus"such as micro classes,Tencent video conferences,DingTalk and WeChat platform.After the group training,the scores of theoretical knowledge and practical operation ability of clinical anesthesiology were observed;the teaching quality of the two groups were compared;the interest in anesthesiology,learning motivation,clinical thinking and teaching satisfaction of anesthesiology residents in two groups were evaluated.Results The theoretical knowledge of clinical anesthesiology[(91.67±5.74)points]and practical operation scores[(90.86±5.12)points]in the research group were higher than those of the control group[(73.56±3.81)points,(75.23±4.50)points],and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).The anesthesiology residents in research group showed a higher learning interest[(90.59±5.27)points],enthusiasm[(91.50±4.86)points],and clinical thinking ability in anesthesiology[(92.15±5.45)points]were significantly higher than those of the control group[(74.23±4.56)points,(72.78±3.98)points,(76.25±5.10)points],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Moreover,the ideal rate of teaching quality(96.00%)and teaching satisfaction of research group(92.00%)were significantly higher than those of the control group with 60.00%and 52.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The blended learning based on OBE concept can effectively improve the clinical theoretical knowledge and skill operation level of anesthesiology residents,also promoting the comprehensive ability of residents,enhancing their interest in anesthesiology,learning enthusiasm,and clinical thinking ability,further improving the teaching quality and satisfaction of standardized training of anesthesiology residents.
