Application of the"Self-Supervision"Teaching Method in Standardized Residency Training of Oncology Department
Objective To analyze the teaching effect of"self-supervision"teaching method in standardized residency training of oncology department. Methods A total of 130 internal medicine residents who entered the oncology department of Shanghai Changhai Hospital for standardized residency training from May 2022 to April 2023 were divided into two groups, the control group(odd-numbered months rotation residents,n=67)and the experimental group(even-numbered months rotation residents,n=63).The control group residents received conventional teaching methods, while the experimental group residents received"self-supervision"teaching methods. The post-rotation assessment scores and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of residents were analyzed. Results The total score of the department-leaving examination in the experimental group was(81.3±7.4)points,while that in the control group was(78.7±9.8)points,indicating that no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Among them, the theoretical examination score of the experimental group was(82.3±12.2)points,which was better than that of the control group[(77.2±14.2)points](P<0.05),and the difference were statistically significant. The satisfaction scores for the residents in the experimental group who received the"self-supervision"teaching method were(86.0±6.7)points,and the score were higher than that of the control group(81.5±8.6)points(P<0.05),and the difference were statistically significant. Conclusion The"self-supervision"teaching method helps to promote residents'learning of oncology internal medicine knowledge, exercise their clinical work ability, and improve teaching satisfaction.
