Application of CBL and PBL Teaching Methods Combined With Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Observation in Clinical Probation of Gastroenterology
Objective To explore the application effect of case-based learning(CBL)and problem-based learning(PBL)methods combined with gastrointestinal endoscopy observation in clinical trainee class of gastroenterology.Methods A total of 240 students who were trained in the department of gastroenterology of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital from August 2020 to August 2022,were randomly divided into two groups,including the research group(CBL and PBL teaching methods combined with gastrointestinal endoscopy observation)and the control group(traditional teaching model),120 students in each group.The scores of medical record writing were compared and the teaching satisfaction by questionnaire were evaluated in the two groups.Results The medical record writing scores of the research group[(87.58±2.03)points]were significantly higher than those of the control group[(82.74±1.83)points](P<0.05).The teaching evaluations of the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group including stimulating learning interest,improving autonomous learning ability,integrating theory with practice,cultivating clinical thinking,mastering knowledge systematically(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of CBL and PBL teaching methods combined with gastrointestinal endoscopy observation in clinical trainee class of gastroenterology can significantly improve the teaching effects by systematically grasping theoretical knowledge,improving the clinical thinking ability and autonomous learning ability,stimulating learning interest.
