Application Observation on Multimedia Combined With Case-Based Learning Method in the Teaching of Geriatrics
Objective To explore the application effect of multimedia combined with case-based learning(CBL)in the teaching of geriatrics.Methods A total of 58 undergraduate students majoring in Clinical Medicine at Hebei University from September 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into the traditional group(n=29)and the combination group(n=29)according to a random number table method.The traditional group was given the conventional teaching mode,and the combination group was given the multimedia combined with CBL teaching mode.The independent learning ability,theoretical assessment results and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Results After the training,the scores of learning cooperation ability[(23.47±4.32)points],self-management ability[(29.73±3.65)points],information ability score[(34.81±5.02)points]and total scores[(83.49±5.64)points]in the combination group were higher than those in the traditional group[(20.13±4.25)points,(26.85±3.46)points,(30.51±4.84)points,(75.62±4.42)points],the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After training,the theoretical assessment score of the combination group was(91.36±4.87)points,which was higher than(82.39±4.63)points of the traditional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After training,the total teaching satisfaction of the combination group was 89.65%,which was higher than 62.07%of the traditional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application effect of multimedia combined with CBL teaching method in geriatrics teaching is remarkable,which can effectively strengthen students'independent learning ability,improve the theoretical assessment results,and enhance the teaching satisfaction.
