The Effect of Virtual Simulation Model in the Optimization of Otorhinolaryngology College Probation Teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of virtual simulation model in the teaching of ENT head and neck undergraduates. Methods A total of 89 five-year undergraduate trainees majoring in Clinical Medicine of Sun Yat-Sen University in 2019 at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University from November 2022 to May 2023 were randomly divided into control group(n=45)and experimental group(n=44)according to the time of admission to the department. The control group was arranged with the previous apprenticeship and mentoring method. On the basis of theoretical teaching, the experimental group used virtual simulation models for specialized operation training. The teaching quality was evaluated through the theoretical knowledge points, skills and clinical operation results and teaching satisfaction questionnaires. Results There was no significant difference in theoretical assessment between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The operation score of the control group was(37.41±1.14)points,and the operation score of the experimental group was(38.57±0.97)points,and the operation assessment score of the control group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the questionnaire survey, some students expressed their willingness to continue their training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Conclusion The application of virtual simulation model in internship teaching can improve students'skill operation level and learning enthusiasm, and further improve the teaching quality of undergraduate internship teaching.
