Application of PBL Combined With Scenario Simulation Teaching Method in Clinical Nursing Teaching of Burn Unit
Objective To explore the impact of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with scenario simulation teaching methods in clinical nursing teaching of burn units. Methods A total of 82 nursing students who practiced burn units of Ruijin Hospital between June 2022 and May 2023 were chosen as the research objects and randomly assigned to one of two groups:the control group(n=41)and the experimental group(n=41).The control group was taught with the general conventional teaching method, while the experimental group was instructed with the PBL combined with scenario simulation teaching method. The nursing students of two groups were compared in terms of critical thinking ability, teaching satisfaction with teachers, graduation scores and other related indicators. Results The scores of critical thinking ability of nursing students in experimental group were higher than those in control group, and there were statistically significant differences in four dimensions of open mind, systematic ability, critical thinking and intellectual curiosity(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the experimental group was(81.73±4.75)points,and the grade score was(89.71±4.41)points,which were higher than that of the control group[(77.32±5.17)points]and the grade score[(80.91±6.19)points].The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The PBL combination with scenario simulation teaching method can enhance the critical thinking skills, teaching satisfaction, and theoretical knowledge of nursing students in the burn unit.
