Exploration on the Application of Thoracoscopic Surgery Video in Clinical Anatomy Teaching
Objective To improve the application effect of thoracoscopic surgery video in clinical anatomy teaching.Methods From November to December 2022,a total of 129 students from two classes of five-year clinical medical undergraduates of grade 2020 in School of Medicine of Sun Yat-Sen University were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random allocation rule,with 66 students in the experimental group and 63 students in the control group.The control group adopted traditional clinical anatomy teaching method,and the experimental group adopted thoracoscopic surgery video combined with traditional clinical anatomy teaching method.The scores of understanding of teaching purpose,rich teaching content,prominent teaching focus,which was conducive to improving their interest in chest anatomy course,satisfaction with teaching method,understanding of chest related clinical knowledge,willingness to deeply understand chest disease related knowledge,mastery of chest anatomy related knowledge,mastery of basic skills of chest anatomy,and overall course score between the two groups were compared.Impressions,comments and suggestions about the course of students were summarized.Results A total of 49 valid questionnaires were collected in the experimental group and 52 in the control group.The scores of prominent teaching focus[(4.80±0.46)points],understanding of chest related clinical knowledge[(4.76±0.48)points]and mastery of chest anatomy related knowledge[(4.51±0.68)points]of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group[(4.46±0.94)points,(4.19±1.12)points,(4.08±1.21)points],the differences were statistically significant(P<.05)."Liking the courses with clinical knowledge""the clinical operation video was very clear,and there was a deeper understanding of the theory""the selected materials were very careful,there was a deeper understanding of the anatomical structure of the chest""the teaching method was vivid""the teaching method was worth advocating"and"hope with the more basic knowledge combined with clinical practical teaching cases in the future"were the feelings of 29 students in the experimental group.At the same time,2 students also felt that"surgery was a bit difficult for undergraduate students"and"the nerves in the surgical video were difficult to see clearly,and the structure was not easy to distinguish".A total of 22 in the control group generally felt that"the teacher gave a good lecture"and"the course was good".A total of 3 students suggested that"teachers should talk more about basic knowledge and theory"and"the specific steps of anatomical operation and the content that needed to be observed and learned should be shown".Conclusion The model of thoracoscope surgery video combined with the anatomy of the traditional teaching model can effectively improve chest clinical anatomy teaching quality and students'interest in clinical,which is applicable to the clinical anatomy teaching.
