Under the background of"four new"construction of new engineering,new medicine,new agriculture and new arts proposed by the Ministry of Education,"new medicine",as one of the four new,is related to the realization of the strategic goal of"Healthy China".This paper summarizes the exploration and practice of the pilot class of"excellence and innovation"in clinical medicine in Hainan Medical University during the implementation of"Excellence Program 1.0"from four aspects,including the construction of curriculum system,the construction of teaching team,the establishment of teaching methods,and the training effect.It also analyzes the current situation of the training of new medical talents in colleges and universities in China,and puts forward some suggestions for the implementation of"Excellence Program 2.0".A series of specific measures for the construction of"new medicine"pilot class in clinical medicine include optimizing of curriculum system,curriculum integration reform,basic and clinical collaborative education.etc.In the future,it is imperative to explore the cooperation mechanism between medical education,industry and research,explore the interdisciplinary medical talent training mode,establish an interdisciplinary talent training system and project platform,and cultivate outstanding medical innovation talents who are proficient in medicine,understand science and technology and lead the times.
