Connotation and Evaluation of Core Competencies in Post Graduation Medical Education
Post graduation medical education is the key to turning medical students into clinical physicians,and also is the starting point of the third-generation medical education reform.The standardization of teaching activities is the foundation for ensuring the homogenization of training quality.Post graduation medical education consists of six core competences:professionalism,medical knowledge and skill,patient care,communication and collaboration,teaching and and learning improvement,make the standardized training of residents targeted and specific.Guiding physicians to refine and implement competency training requirements can enhance the level of homogenization.Competency oriented teaching is closely related to clinical work,and formative evaluation continuously observes and provides feedback on the competence of students in the workplace,clarifying their shortcomings and promoting teaching improvement.The summative evaluation conducted through entrance exams,annual exams and graduation exams can fully reflect the training objectives.The milestone evaluation follows the principle of procedural evaluation,comprehensively assessing the growth of resident physician competence,and ensuring that resident physicians achieve the ability to practice.
