Application of PBL Combined With Situational Simulation Teaching Method in Clinical Anesthesiology Teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based learning(PBL)and situational simulation teaching method in clinical anesthesia teaching. Methods A total of 32 resident physicians in the department of anesthesiology, the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected and divided into experimental group and control group according to the random number table method, with 16 physicians in each group. The control group adopted scenario simulation teaching method, and the experimental group adopted PBL combined with scenario simulation teaching method. After the completion of teaching, the scores of theoretical and pathological analysis, total scores,self-evaluation and clinical comprehensive ability were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in theoretical test scores between the two groups[(46.38±1.31)points vs.(45.88±1.15)points](P>0.05).The case analysis score of experimental group was higher than that of control group[(45.63±1.59)vs.(42.38±1.31)],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The total score of experimental group was higher than that of control group[(92.00±2.22)vs.(88.25±1.81)],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The self-assessment of students in the experimental group who believed that they had improved in clinical thinking, clinical operation, strain capacity training and learning interest were batter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in communication ability and teamwork between the two groups(P>0.05).The excellent and good rate of clinical comprehensive ability in the experimental group was 75.0%,which was higher than 37.5%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of PBL and scenario simulation teaching method in anesthesiology teaching can help resident physicians better cope with complex clinical situations and improve their post competency.
