Application of MDT Model in Teaching of Spinal Metastases in the Standardized Training of Orthopedic Residents
Objective To explore the application of multiple disciplinary team(MDT)model in teaching of spinal metastases in the standardized training of orthopedic residents. Methods A total of 48 residents who participated in the standardized training of orthopedic residents in department of orthopaedics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2019 to January 2022 were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 24 residents in each group. The control group used traditional teaching methods, while the observation group implemented the MDT model in addition to the traditional methods. The residents'theoretical knowledge mastery ability, practical operation ability and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The theoretical knowledge and practical skill scores of the observation group were(88.04±4.45)points and(88.00±4.40)points,respectively,while those of the control group were(83.04±4.09)points and(81.87±3.91)points,respectively,the observation group's scores were higher than those of the control group, and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of teaching satisfaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of MDT model in teaching of spinal metastases in the standardized training of orthopedic residents has achieved good teaching effects, can improve the residents'teaching satisfaction.
