Objective To explore the implementation effect of working-observing-researching-learning-department(WORLD)combined with team-based learning(TBL)in the standardized training of obstetrics residents. Methods A total of 71 standardized trainees from the obstetrics and gynecology department in Guangzhou Women and Children Medical Center from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected. The 2022 class(33 residents)was the research group, and the 2021 class(38 residents)was the control group.WORLD combined with TBL teaching method was used in the research group, and traditional teaching was used in the control group. After completing the obstetric training rotation, the test scores, self ring scale of self directed learning(SRSSDL)scores and teaching satisfaction survey of the two groups of students were compared. Results In the exam, the theoretical scores[(88.88±3.48)points],medical history collection[(85.53±2.14)points]and clinical thinking[(85.95±2.46)points]of the study group were higher than those of the control group[(85.15±4.06)points,(81.09±2.55)points,(80.30±2.73)points].The differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in actual performance(P>0.05).In SRSSDL scores, the research group had higher scores of learning consciousness, learning strategy, learning behavior and interpersonal relationship than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.001).In the satisfaction evaluation of teaching quality, the research group was superior to the control group in the evaluation of teaching content design, teaching mode efficiency, stimulating learning interest, autonomous learning ability, clinical analysis ability,doctor-patient communication ability, clinical confidence building and team cooperation ability, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of WORLD combined with TBL teaching method in obstetric standardized training can improve the clinical comprehensive ability and teamwork ability, and elevate the quality of clinical practical teaching.
