Evaluation of OSCE Teaching Based on Post Competency in Urological Nursing Practice Teaching
Objective To analyze the effectiveness of objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)teaching based on job competence in urology nursing internship teaching.Methods A total of 64 nursing interns in the urology department of Qianjiang Central Hospital from July 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into observation group(n=32,receiving OSCE teaching based on post competency)and control group(n=32,traditional assessment and teaching)by random sampling method.The two groups's nursing interns were compared in terms of core competence,test scores and recognition of teaching mode.Results A comparative analysis was conducted on the scores of various core competencies,theoretical and operational exam scores,and teaching mode recognition between the two groups.The observation group's nursing interns professional attitude[(8.20±1.41)points],management ability[(6.03±2.51)points],critical thinking ability[(10.53±3.97)points],interpersonal communication ability[(6.11±3.42)points],professional development ability[(12.38±3.59)points],professional practical ability[(32.12±6.80)points],The scores of theory[(90.87±5.10)points],skill operation[(90.33±4.89)points],and overall recognition(96.88%)were higher than those of the control group[(7.35±1.40)points,(4.76±2.11)points,(8.31±3.26)points,(4.54±2.54)points,(10.58±3.01)points,(28.47±5.23)points,(84.51±5.22)points,(83.05±4.81)points,78.13%],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the teaching of urology internships,adopting OSCE teaching based on post competency has good application advantages,which can improve the comprehensive ability of interns,promote their critical thinking cultivation,and enhance their recognition of clinical teaching.
