Objective To explore the application effect of narrative medicine combined with objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)in clinical teaching of general medical resident students. Methods From July 2021 to July 2022,a total of 36 general practice trainees who became the residential training base of Liuzhou Liutie Central Hospital were selected as the research object, and the self-matched control method was used. Before teaching:From July 2022 to January 2023,the conventional teaching assessment mode was adopted. After teaching:from February 2023 to July 2023,narrative medicine combined with OSCE assessment mode was adopted. To investigated the scores of core competencies, assessment results and the recognition of teaching mode of two different clinical teaching modes for the same general practice trainees before and after teaching. Results After teaching, the core competence scores of the trainees in general residency training include:professional attitude[(8.19±2.34)points],professional practical ability[(30.83±5.98)points],critical thinking ability[(12.92±3.20)points],management ability[(8.25±2.48)points]and interpersonal communication ability[(8.33±2.31)points]and professional development ability[(17.17±4.10)points]were higher than those before teaching. After teaching, the total score of theoretical examination[(86.75±16.86)points]and the score of skill operation[(86.25±20.54)points]were higher than those before the intervention[(64.56±19.53)points]and[(80.97±22.18)points],with statistical significance(P<0.001).The total recognition rate of the teaching mode after the intervention was 97.22%(35/36),which was higher than that before teaching 83.33%(30/36),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Narrative medicine combined with OSCE assessment model can improve the teaching results, improve the assessment results of general practitioners, strengthen their comprehensive ability, improve the teaching satisfaction of residents, and lay a foundation for better service to patients in the future.
