Xin Anting is a famous educator,editor and publisher,and a writer of popular books for teenagers in China.During the 11 years in Yan'an,he led the compilation of three sets of general textbooks for primary school in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region,and personally compiled more than 40 kinds of textbooks and reading materials for children and adults,which made him a pioneer in textbook compilation of CPC during Yan'an period.While working in People's Education Press,Xin presided over the compilation of new textbooks for primary and secondary schools.As an early leader of PEP,he also made important contributions to the institutional setup and system construction in the initial period and was one of the founders of textbook construction in China.His thought of Chinese teaching reform shows the main direction of Chinese teaching reform after the founding of the People's Republic of China.He was a writer of popular books and wrote a large number of teenager books.As a university leader,he founded Gansu Institute of Education and twice presided over the work of Lanzhou University.Looking at Xin's rich educational practice,his educational achievements and contributions are characterized by creativity,time and popularity.
